Cannabis has dozens of beneficial properties , useful in the treatment of many ailments, such as chronic pain, stress, insomnia, glaucoma, epilepsy and the symptoms of multiple sclerosis . In some cases, marijuana has the power to reverse the symptoms of the disease, in others - such as insomnia and stress - it has shown great potential in the definitive treatment of such disorders.

The web is full of tips and tricks on how to use cannabis to get the most out of your inflorescences. Many are now opting for natural remedies, thanks to new awareness of the beneficial effects of many natural cures, alternative remedies to traditional drugs.

Therapeutic cannabis, however, has also proven to be a great ally of traditional medicines: choosing to use a natural remedy does not mean completely giving up traditional medicines, which - we would like to underline - are fundamental in the treatment of most pathologies. Using a natural adjuvant can be a support, reducing the introduction of synthetic agents into the body, without however completely replacing drugs.

Cannabis as a superfood

Using seeds in nutrition is the new mantra of health enthusiasts. It is a way to provide the body with the necessary tools to fight disorders and pathologies from within, without having to resort to traditional drugs. Hemp seeds, for example, are a real natural remedy against many ailments, even if not everyone is aware of it yet. They are really small, but perfectly capable of preventing and treating high cholesterol and cardiovascular disorders , just as Francesca, one of our Instagram followers, told us.

CBD dragees

Francesca has been following us for about a year, since her son explained to her that cannabis seeds can wage war on high cholesterol. Francesca's son is a loyal customer of ours, a consumer of Terre's light cannabis for years.

Francesca was skeptical, she had never had anything to do with cannabis , but her son's promise convinced her and she decided to give it a try. The cholesterol in question is not hers, but that of her husband, who really doesn't want to know about limiting cheese and saturated fats.

Since ancient times, cannabis seeds have been used for therapeutic purposes: according to an ancient belief, ingesting a handful of them at least once a day guaranteed a healthy constitution and long life. Today finally, after years in the shadows, their properties have been discovered and their beneficial effect on our body has been recognized.

Their nutritional values are excellent: they contain all the essential amino acids , they have a perfect balance between Omega 3 and Omega 6 . But their real secret is that they are the sworn enemies of bad cholesterol.

Using this little food every day is essential for maintaining reduced cholesterol levels and lowering those who, unfortunately, have these levels too high. Just like Francesca's husband, who loves them, ever since he realized that taking a little a day allows him not to give up his beloved piece of cheese after dinner.

Herbal teas and cannabis tea

There's another Instagram user we often talk to. Her name is Chiara and she is an expert in teas, infusions and herbal teas of all kinds, she is 29 years old and a biologist. She is also a great fan of 100% home-made teas and infusions, which she prepares herself by hunting for particular ingredients, heart-warming spices and exotic fruits.

Light cannabis buds

His Instagram channel is in fact dedicated to his preparations, which are beautiful, good and super fragrant. Chiara mixes her blends to recreate a sensation, an aroma or a moment; produces Ayurvedic and therapeutic blends, also based on light cannabis .

Tea is experiencing a very lucky moment: from a classic afternoon ritual, as is customary in the United Kingdom, it is becoming the routine of the whole day. Goodbye to 5 o'clock tea, "wonderful time" is all the rage in Italy , the new trend embraced by all those who love drinking tea, herbal teas or infusions, alone or in company, at any time, place and situation.

Almost 4 out of 10 Italians (38%) drink tea or herbal tea every day, while 42% drink two to three times a week. One in 3 (31%) does it alone, compared to 48% who prefer to share this moment with friends.

Furthermore, the trend is also widespread in the male universe, given that, against all odds, 41% of infusion lovers are men . Chiara has decided to exploit the long wave of this trend, inaugurating an Instagram profile dedicated to teas, infusions, mugs and the like.

He mentioned us in an Instagram Story in which he talked about his new creation: a tea based on light cannabis, produced with the inflorescences of our Volare . Chiara uses chai milk to allow the cannabinoids to dissolve 100%, which wouldn't happen by soaking the herb in water.

In fact, cannabinoids are fat-soluble and not water-soluble , therefore they need to be dissolved in a fatty liquid.

For Chiara's recipe you will need:

- 0.5 g of legal marijuana inflorescences

- 1/2 teaspoon of butter

- 1 chai tea bag

- 240 ml of whole milk

- 120 ml of water

- 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract

- 2 teaspoons of sugar

Cannabis herbal tea

The first step is to chop up the cannabis using a grinder , to increase the surface area exposed to the liquid. It is important to take care to remove any seeds and stems, if any. Once ready, you need to combine the cannabis with milk , butter and vanilla extract, pour the mixture into a blender and mix until you obtain a homogeneous liquid.

This mixture will then be left to rest for at least an hour in order to allow the aromas given by the terpenes and vanilla to blend together. You will then need to add the water and bring the mixture to a light boil, keeping it on a moderate heat for about 30 minutes.

It will be advisable to monitor the container to check that the liquid does not evaporate excessively; if this were to happen our friend Chiara recommends adding water.

After 30 minutes, you will then need to add the chai tea bag to the mixture, keeping everything infused for about 5 minutes. Once the drink has cooled slightly, it may be necessary to filter it through a fine mesh strainer , and then sweeten to taste before drinking. We tried it in the office and it is very good. Thanks Chiara!

Ganja Yoga, a star-spangled novelty

Lately we've been hearing a lot about Ganja Yoga , a new discipline that combines yoga with cannabis consumption. In a short time the discipline has become very popular in the USA and in other countries where cannabis is legal . We always discovered it on Instagram, thanks to Luisa, a loyal customer of Terre and a fan of Ganja Yoga with the inflorescences of Terre di Cannabis.

In truth, practicing yoga and taking cannabis is an ancient custom in India, the country where yoga was born and raised. India, in past times, was much more tolerant towards the consumption of cannabis: smoking was considered a way to open the mind and relax the body, an almost spiritual and religious gesture that went well with complex disciplines such as meditation and yoga.

A beautiful girl is doing yoga

According to experts in this discipline, smoking marijuana before practicing yoga is very useful for reaching a higher level in the practice, uninhibiting the body, relaxing the mind and improving the experience altogether. The idea is that cannabinoids - in the right dose - help you concentrate on the body, on contact with the earth and on breathing, emptying the mind of useless or harmful thoughts.

Furthermore, the consumption of CBD has the ability to facilitate relaxation and recovery at a muscular level, limiting the possibility of contractures and annoying tears. The practice of yoga under the influence of cannabis is certainly a particular and positive experience for many, which has the ability to put the mind and body at peace in a natural and gentle way.

For the most orthodox it is a useless ploy, sometimes even potentially harmful. We remain sceptical, but our yogi friend seemed really relaxed!
